Hyderabad: Call it shamelessness or brazenness of a police officer, Vijayawada commissioner of police P S R Anjaneyulu has admitted to having made calls to certain women and sent them text messages making indecent proposals to them.
After the electronic media started splashing the news about his sexcapades, PSR held a press conference and blamed it on local Telugu Desam Party leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan for trapping him in the scandal.
“I knew it was the game plan of Vamsi to introduce the women to me to trap me. I just extended the game by making the calls and giving messages to see to what extent Vamsi would go. But I did not cross my limit,” he explained. He, however, evaded an answer why he had to make sexual advances to women, being a responsible police officer and what he would gain by playing a game with a political leader. “I cannot explain everything to the media. I have my own strategies to deal with people,” he said.
The text messages sent by PSR blatantly exposed his weakness for beautiful women. A message sent to a local doctor says: “now that we have become close friends, we can talk on any subject, including sex.”
Another message sent to another woman read: “You can call me Anjan. How can I address you? I want your friendship. And I will keep it secret.”
In another text message to the corporate college lecturer, PSR suggested: “When you come next time, wear blue colour saree. And leave your hair loose.” “Let me put an end to this SMS business. When can I call you? What are your interests? We will move rather socially” – reads another message. He further said in another message: “There are people who talk loosely about us. Our connection should be personal and private. I have many enemies. Yet, I want to have a long-time relationship with you.” And he also made a strange offer to the woman he liked: “Do you take alcohol? What do you like? Whisky, Vodka or Cocktail?”
According to the details of telephonic calls available with ABN Andhrajyothy, PSR had made as many as 50 calls to the corporate college lecturer between 10.30 am to 9 pm on a single day and again the following day. On May 8, the police commissioner had made “indecent proposals” to the daughter of an industrialist in Vijayawada by making 15 calls between 10 am and 1 pm; and 50 more calls between 2 pm and 10 pm; and another 40 calls the following day.
The commissioner also allegedly used the services of his subordinates to track down the addresses of the women he was running after.
