Factionist Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelachervu Suri, a key accused in former Andhra Pradesh minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Paritala Ravi's murder, was critically injured and died at 7:55 pm today at Apollo Hospital. He was murdered in a covert operation by his follower Bhanu Prakash Reddy alias Bhanu.
Bhanu escaped from the scene after firing Suri.
Two bullets penetrated into his head while two were dug deep into his chest and belly. Suri was dead in Apollo Hospital after suffering heavy bleeding from nose and injuries and gradual downing of pulse rate.
Maddelacheruvu Suri has been stating that he is completely away from faction and wishing to get into politics to serve people. But things have taken different turn for him today.
Suri had earlier made an attempt to kill Ravi in 1997 at the Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. Though Ravi escaped unhurt, 25 people were killed and many injured in the bomb blast.
Investigations are going on.
