Hyderabad: Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) President K Chiranjeevi today said his party would consider supporting the Congress Government ''if it is in the verge of collapse'' in Andhra Pradesh.
''At present, there was no danger to the government, the actor-turned politican told reporters after meeting Governor E S L Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan here.
Mr Chiranjeevi said he met the Governor to wish him on the occasion of ''Sankranthi'' festival tomorrow and has not discussed any political issues.
There was a likelihood of showcause notices being issued to its dissident legislators Shoba Nagi Reddy and Kotasani Ram Reddy, who had expressed their support to former Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr Chiranjeevi said and added PRP's stand was for the sixth option of united Andhra Pradesh recommended in the Srikrishna Committee Report.
The MIM had also expressed its willingess to support the Congress government if it was reduced to a minority.
