Hyderabad: Jaganmohan Reddy camp has taken with a pinch of salt the sensational comments made by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Wednesday that the new party of the former MP would sweep polls in Seema Andhra and Rayalaseema.
Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari, a staunch supporter of Jagan, said he would not totally agree with the prediction of KCR that Jagan would decimate the Congress in Seemandhra, while the TRS would sweep the Telangana region. “The fact is that Jagan’s party will make a considerable impact in Telangana as well and win substantial number of seats. His father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has the large fan following in Telangana and it would fetch good number of seats for Jagan party as well,” he said.
Hari further said a majority (70 +) of MLAs in the Congress party were supporting Jagan. “Though they are technically in the Congress, they are backing Jagan in letter and spirit. However, they wont quit the Congress and topple the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.” He said.
