Hyderabad: Osmania University on Wednesday postponed the ongoing MCA examinations (regular and backlog), succumbing to the pressure exerted by the agitating student groups through various protests for the last three days. In an announcement made on Wednesday afternoon, the university said that the examinations would be held from January 20, 2011, along with other post-graduate exams. The detailed time-table for the examination will soon be displayed on the OU website, www.osmania.ac.in, varsity officials said.
The university was able to conduct only three of the 11 examinations for second and third year students, which were originally scheduled to be held between December 27 and January 7. As many as 49 centres across Andhra Pradesh were identified for conducting the tests, with 36 in the twin cities alone.
