Chennai: Around 4.59 crore people are eligible to vote in coming the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, according to the revised electoral rolls, the State Election Commission said.
The revised electoral rolls, which were released Monday, show there are around 2.25 crore male and 2.23 crore female voters in the state.
According to the Election Commission, 11,52,000 voters were added to the lists during the revision, out of 13,02,000 claims received for inclusion.
Around 106,000 names were removed from the list owing reasons like death, shifting of residence and duplication of entries.
